Waiver, Release of Liability, and Assumption of Risk Information

Please read carefully. You will be asked to sign this form at YOGACAMP if you would like to participate in the firewalk. By signing, you are waiving all rights to compensation in case of injury.

 

1. Acknowledgment of Risk

 

I, the undersigned, understand and acknowledge that participation in the Firewalk involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical and psychological injury, burns, emotional distress, or death.

 

I declare that I am of sound mind and I am voluntarily participating in these activities of my own free will. I understand that no guarantees of safety have been made, and I assume all risks involved.

 

2. Waiver and Release of Liability

 

I hereby waive, release, and discharge all rights to claim compensation from Graina Pedersen, or YOGACAMP, their suppliers, employees, volunteers, and other participants (hereafter referred to as “the organisers”) for any injuries, losses, or damages, whether physical, psychological, or financial, that I may suffer as a result of my participation in this workshop.

 

• This waiver applies globally, regardless of my location.

• I agree not to file any legal action against the organisers for damages or injuries, even if negligence can be demonstrated.

 

3. Medical Declarations

 

I certify that:

1. I have no medical conditions (such as diabetes, autoimmune diseases, or any other condition) that could inhibit healing or adversely affect my physical or mental well-being if I am injured.

2. I am not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicating substances.

3. I take full responsibility for all my choices during this event, including the decision to participate or withdraw from any activity.

4. I affirm that I do not desire to inflict harm upon myself by taking part in any activity.

 

In the event of an injury, I authorise the organisers to seek emergency medical treatment on my behalf, and I accept full financial responsibility for any medical care provided.​

 

4. Intellectual Property Agreement

 

I confirm that:

1. I am not being trained to teach fire walking or any other activity provided in this workshop.

2. I will not use the preparatory information provided in this workshop to train others to fire walk or engage in empowerment training, nor will I claim any title (e.g., Fire Walking Instructor) based on my participation.

3. I will respect the intellectual property of the organisers and associated parties.

 

5. Media Release

 

I consent to the capture of my image, voice, and participation during this workshop via photos, videos, audio recordings, or other media. I agree that the organisers may use these materials for promotional, educational, or advertising purposes without compensation or further consent.

 

6. Participant Declaration

 

I have read and understood this Waiver, Release of Liability, and Assumption of Risk Form in its entirety. I acknowledge the risks involved and voluntarily agree to participate, assuming full responsibility for my actions and decisions during the event.

 

I understand that this form is a legal document and that, by signing, I am waiving my rights to seek compensation for injuries or damages.

 

7. Parental Consent for Participants Under 18

 

For participants under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must sign on their behalf to give consent for the minor’s participation. The undersigned parent/guardian agrees to all terms stated in this waiver and assumes full responsibility for the minor.
